Lana Del Rey talks about a robbery in Los Angeles

During this incident, the 37-year-old singer lost very important and valuable things to her.

Grammy nominee Lana Del Rey has learned a very important lesson from her negative experience - to use backups in her work. As it turned out, earlier this year the singer was mugged on the street, causing her to lose her backpack full of valuables. "A few months ago, I parked my car on Melrose Place (Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles) and got out just for a minute," Lana told social media. "And this once, just this one time, when I left my backpack in the car, someone smashed all the windows and took it away."

As a result, Del Rey lost a 200-page manuscript she was going to publish with Simon & Schuster, as well as a video camera of her home shoots. The most unfortunate thing about this situation for the singer was the fact that she did not have time to save the book on the cloud, and thieves gained remote access to her phone, from where they downloaded songs and personal photos.

Nevertheless, she is now preparing to release her ninth, studio album. "I just want to assure you that despite everything that's happened, the album will come out - despite a lot of security breaches on various levels. I just want to be convincing and present the best music I can." On Oct. 21, the music "Snow on the Beach," which Del Rey performed with Taylor Swift, will be released.
