Subaru Legacy 2023 sedan updated for the North American market

The car has undergone a number of modifications on the same scheme as the off-road station wagon Outback

The current modification of the Subaru Legacy saw the light of day in 2019. Now it's time for a planned update of the model. If we draw a parallel between the Outback wagon, which was refreshed a month earlier, we can see that the sedan has changed according to the same scheme.

The Subaru Legacy has a massive radiator grille with horizontal slats, the central one of which cuts into the new multifaceted head optics. An athletic front bumper of a different architecture adds to the aggression. In the rear, only a different plastic insert in the rear bumper, creating an imitation diffuser with two exhaust pipes. The updated lineup will be presented in five versions: Base, Premium, Sport, Limited and Touring XT.

The sporty variant is distinguished by it's red decor on the grille, mirror housings with gray inserts, fog lights, a modest spoiler and 18-th wheels with low-profile rubber. The technical differences are in the special settings of the suspension. Under a hood of "charged" Subaru Legacy hides 2.4-liter 264-powered turbo four, while junior versions have 2.5-liter "atmospheric" engine for 185 horsepower. As well as units, the rest of equipment has remained the same. It is a variator and all-wheel drive.

The instrument panel, as before, is crowned by the 11.6-inch display of the multimedia complex. However, the touchscreen has improved graphics, and the system now supports wireless services Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. From the wagon novelty got optional heated steering wheel and branded security complex EyeSight, the arsenal of which has a set of all-around cameras and many electronic assistants.

The new Subaru Legacy will appear at U.S. dealers this fall. Prices will be announced closer to that event.
