Mazda MX-30 R-EV with new rotary piston engine to go on sale this summer

The presentation of the new Mazda model took place at the Brussels Motor Show, the crossover rotary piston engine changed the role of the main source of traction to a power reserve extender.

The rotary piston engine is located under the hood and has no mechanical connection with the wheels. The working volume is 830 cubic centimeters, the thickness is 76 mm, the width of the unit is 840 mm, the radius of the motor is 120 mm, the return is 75 hp. at 4700 rpm.

The car has full autonomy, under the floor of the cabin there is a battery with a capacity of 17.8 kW / h, a full charge is enough for 85 km, it is not forbidden to charge the battery from a socket. The range is about 600 km with a full 50-liter tank.

The mass of the car is 1703 kg, the acceleration time to 100 km / h is 9.1 s. Driving modes Normal - hybrid, EV - electric and Charge - to conserve battery.

Europe is waiting for the sale of the Mazda MX-30 R-EV this summer and it is assumed that the price of a hybrid with RPD will not be higher than the electric version of the crossover, about 36 thousand euros.
