Honda can't keep up with all the orders for the Civic Type R

Component shortages are slowing down production, and delivery times for hot hatchbacks are already more than 12 months away.

Honda is forced to temporarily postpone accepting orders for the Civic Type R. The reason is the broken logistics chain and the shortage of semiconductors. In this situation, it is extremely difficult to determine the exact number of cars to be produced and even more difficult to determine the timing. And the orders for the Honda Civic Type R are already quite high. The automaker has focused all its efforts on fulfilling the collected orders.

Customers, who have made an application so long ago, will need an angel's patience, waiting for the delivery of the desired car for a year.

The new Honda Civic Type R made its debut last summer. The car has a new turbocharger and exhaust system with a 2L K20C turbo engine. Power of the engine is 319 hp, transmission is manual.

The Civic Type R is assembled at Honda's Yorii plant in Saitama Prefecture, with engine production at a plant in Ohio, USA.

To the fair comment that in North America did not even stop taking orders for the model, the representative of Honda replied that sales of a limited number of Civic Type R did not stop and will continue.

Earlier it was reported that the Hyundai Kona (2023) crossover may become a symbiosis of the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson.
