Almost immediately after the release of the three-door, rumors spread about the development of Suzuki Jimny with a long base. Recently, this information has become a reality. India introduced the Suzuki Jimny with five doors.

Relative to the standard version with a length of 3,645 mm, the five-door extended to 3,985 mm, and the distance between the axles grew to 2,590 mm. The width and height remain the same and are respectively 1,645 and 1,720 mm. Ground clearance is 210mm. The luggage compartment is designed for 210 liters, but if you fold the rear row of seats, then its size will increase to 332 liters. The length was deliberately not increased by more than 4 meters, since in India this affects the amount of taxes.

The appearance of the SUV has not undergone any changes. The Suzuki Jimny is painted in Kinetic Yellow, which contrasts with the black roof, grille and plastic body kit that flows into the bumper. The pattern of 15-inch alloy wheels also remained the same.

The interior also retained all the elements. On board you can find a multifunctional steering wheel, a 9-inch touchscreen multimedia complex with support for all mobile services, a parking camera, four-speaker acoustics, six airbags, as well as stabilization systems, assistance during descent and ascent.

Suzuki Jimny will be driven by a non-alternative 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 105 hp and 134 Nm. Paired with the unit can be either a 5-speed "mechanics" or a 4-band "automatic". All efforts are transferred to the plug-in all-wheel drive system with off-road driving mode.

The development of the novelty took place in the Indian division of Maruti Suzuki, production will also be established there. According to preliminary data, SUVs will arrive at local dealers in May this year. Later, the model should appear in the markets of Africa, Latin America and Australia.
