Suzuki promises all-electric Jimny to Europeans

Suzuki has confirmed that the Jimny and 4 other electric vehicles are under development, details in the battery electric vehicle lineup part of the new Growth Strategy briefing.

The Japanese firm's first electric concept car, the eVX, and its specs were announced earlier this month. Suzuki, hinting at the new Jimny, gives car enthusiasts hope that the power of this car will improve (standard naturally aspirated 100 hp 4-cylinder engine).

It is too early to say that Jimny is the first electric car launched by the company in Europe. However, it is reliably known that 2024 is scheduled for the launch of at least one model, followed by four more.

According to Suzuki's preliminary calculations, by 2030, auto sales of electric vehicles in the European market will be about 80%, and hybrids 20%. It should be noted that the company does not intend to rely on electric cars yet. Suzuki is looking to supply battery-electric vehicles as well as carbon-neutral blended-fuel, CNG, biogas and ethanol vehicles, according to the white paper.

Earlier it became known that long-term rumors about the Toyota Rankle 70 will become a reality.
