Gif review: Mitsubishi eK X EV electric key-car for $18,756 is out

An electric car equipped with a single electric motor can travel 180 km without a recharge

If in our latitudes crossovers are extremely popular, then in Japan tiny K-cars are very much in demand. The other day, the joint company NMKV (Nissan Mitsubishi Kei Vehicle) announced two electric cars. Mitsubishi's side novelty is the eK X EV, and Nissan's is the Sakura.

The basis of the compact car is a hatch Mitsubishi eK X, length 3 395 mm, width 1 475 mm, height 1 655 mm, and distance between axles - 2 495 mm. The novelty is fitted with 14-inch and 15-inch rims.

The exterior of the Mitsubishi eK X EV is full of elements known from the brand's crossovers. The headlights consist of daytime running lights connected by a chrome strip and the main headlight set integrated into the embossed bumper. The decorative grille is made in the branded X-shaped corporate style. The back is characterized by vertical headlights with a unique graphic pattern, a modest spoiler and a small rear bumper strip.

Интерьер выполнен в стиле минимализма. За мультирулем скрывается 7-дюймовая виртуальная панель приборов. В центре установлен парящий тачскрин мультимедиа на 9 дюймов.

The car is driven by a single electric motor with 64 horsepower and 195 Nm, mounted on the front axle. The battery capacity of 20 kWh is enough to travel 180 km on a single charge. Prices for electric cars start at $18,700.
