Stellantis' first electric pickup will be called Ram 1500 REV
Production of the Ram 1500 REV will begin in 2024.
The Stellantis Group announced Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show that its first electric pickup truck will be called the Ram 1500 REV. Ram, the Stellantis Group's pickup and van brand, added that production of the Ram 1500 REV will begin in 2024.
Next Sunday, the company will offer more details about the vehicle, which will be the sixth electric pickup to hit the U.S. market.
Ford already has the F-150 Lightning and General Motors (GM) has the Hummer. GM also has an electric Chevrolet Silverado. In addition, the Rivian startup makes the R1T, and Tesla will soon begin production of the Cybertruck.
The Stellantis Group also unveiled anniversary versions of the Wrangler Rubicon 4xe and Wrangler Rubicon 392 SUVs this Thursday in Chicago.
Earlier, the luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S-Class was turned into a plug-in hybrid.
