The Munich-based company continues its plans to launch a new generation of electric vehicles in 2025. They will be based on the new special Neue Klasse platform. Now, just two years before this launch, the brand continues to push its idea forward, and for this reason, 800 million euros have been allocated to prepare its Mexican plant in San Luis Potosi.
This is not the first major investment the automaker has made in this area. Last October, BMW already committed a total of $1.7 billion to expand its American plant in Startanburg, where most SUV models are currently assembled. These investments were made with the main goal of increasing the production of electric vehicles there.
