Mercedes-Benz EQS officially introduced in China
The electric crossover is available in three versions and with two power plants.
Recently, the crossover Mercedes-Benz EQS was officially presented in China. In China, three SUV configurations are offered in the price range from 910,500 to 1,100,500 yuan, which is equivalent to 9,924,000 and 11,995,000 rubles, respectively. Based on a purely electric EVA platform, the new car is the first SUV model on this platform. It's worth noting that Mercedes-Benz has officially announced that the EQE will soon be built in China, with the Maybach EQS making its world debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2023.
In terms of appearance, the crossover features a large-sized closed front grille called "Dark Night Starlight" that is integrated and connected by LED daytime running lights. The sporty design is underlined by a "muscular" bumper with pronounced air intakes. The body profile is streamlined, like the entire EQ line. At the stern, the novelty is equipped with a small-sized roof spoiler. The rear group of lamps has a through design. All this is seasoned with a huge amount of chrome decor.
Inside the Mercedes-Benz EQS, a huge Hyperscreen is installed, which includes three displays that completely replace the function of physical buttons. The system can memorize the driver's habits and actively push reminders. In terms of active safety, the new car is fitted as standard with an enhanced version of the L2 Driving Assistance Package, including features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and exit assistance, as well as the PRE-SAFE preventive safety system. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz EQS will have seven interior color combinations, using high-quality leather and wood.
In terms of power, the new car will get two optional 450+ and 450 4MATIC powerplants. Among them, the 450+ is a single-engine rear-wheel drive with a rear engine, with a maximum power of 360 forces and 568 Nm. The 450 4MATIC uses dual-motor all-wheel drive with a maximum output of 360hp 800Nm Both power systems use a triple 111.8kWh lithium battery pack and a maximum range of 742km in CLTC conditions using DC fast charging to achieve 10-80% power it only takes 37 minutes.
