Hongqi E202 (2023) electric crossover shown in official photos
Production of the new parker is promised to start in the second half of this year
Hongqi has officially unveiled an image of the Hongqi E202. The electric car is based on the company's new energy design concept and is positioned as a mid-sized Urban SUV. It is reported that the new vehicle will be equipped with a variety of technological equipment such as intelligent all-wheel drive, air suspension, autopilot and HAC driving safety system. According to preliminary data, production lines for the new vehicle will be launched in the second half of 2023.
According to the official image, it can be seen that the Hongqi E202 features a closed front end design, with a glowing Hongqi New Energy logo in the centre. Horizontally positioned LED headlights and vertical daytime running lights combine to create a very futuristic visual effect, and will not allow confusion with any other car. The body profile of Hongqi E202 is notable for its "soaring" roof, smooth transitions and contrasting side pillars. The pronounced relief and three-dimensional wheel arches are accentuated by a two-tone alloy wheel pattern. The stern is highlighted by a roof spoiler and a group of through-beam tail lamps. The illuminated logo in the centre of the rear echoes the front of the car. The decorative diffuser with two strips of LED warning lights looks quite original. Most likely, the production version will get regular rear-view mirrors instead of cameras, and the carbon décor will become part of the older modifications.
The technical details of the Hongqi E202 have not yet been revealed. The carmaker has not revealed any details about the parameters, but according to the information available, the new model will be equipped with an advanced HAC safety chassis system, four-wheel drive and air suspension. The four-wheel drive system will be powered by at least two electric motors. The crossover will also be equipped with an 800-volt fast charging system. Just five minutes is enough to charge the battery pack for the next 300 km of motorway. More expensive versions will be equipped with an autopilot.
