Most recently, the flagship mid-size crossover Chery Tiggo 9 was officially presented. The start of pre-sales has already been announced in China. In addition to a spectacular appearance, the car boasts a Mars hybrid architecture. The SUV will arrive at local dealers in May this year.
The front of the Chery Tiggo 9 is distinguished by a huge grille with vertical slats in the style of Pan Americana. Under the edges of the hood there is a multifaceted head optics with a “formidable” pattern of daytime running lights. All this is emphasized by a relief bumper with three separate air intakes. The body profile is decorated with stampings on the bottom of the doors and massive wheel arches. Contrasting pillars, mirror housings and the design of light-alloy wheels give a special style. It is worth noting, popular these days, retractable door handles.
The stern is notable for a spoiler on the trunk, a single lamp module, with the brand's letter name in the center and a fake diffuser that mimics a separate exhaust system. Graceful notes are brought to the exterior by a plentiful amount of chrome. As for the dimensions of the body, the length, width and height of the new car are 4820/1930/1699 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. At the moment, this is the largest crossover of the Chery family.
The interior of Chery Tiggo 9, with the help of various shades, is conditionally divided into three parts. Almost all control is entrusted to the cockpit, which combines virtual instruments and a multimedia complex display. The shape of the ventilation deflectors gives originality.
The exact list of on-board equipment has not yet been disclosed, but it is already known that it will include air conditioning, wireless charging for smartphones, atmospheric interior lighting and many active and passive security systems.

The output of 260 forces and 400 Nm will be transmitted to the wheels using an 8-band Aisin automatic transmission. A hybrid modification of the Kunpeng Super Intelligent Hybrid will also appear soon. According to preliminary information, this option will cope with the 0-100 discipline in an impressive 4.5 seconds. A full tank will be enough to cover a distance of 1,300 km without stopping. It takes only 18 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%.
