Sales of the new SAIC MG7 sedan will be announced in China in March
The model will be offered in three configurations.
A few days ago, SAIC MG officially announced that its MG7 mid-size sedan will be arriving at local dealers at the end of March. Prices for the novelty will be within 200,000 yuan. The model will be offered in three configurations: Liemei Premium Edition, Liemei Luxury Edition and Trophy+ Engine Glory Edition.
Exterior MG7 has retained all the family features of the automotive brand. This can be seen in the sloping corrugated hood, a large radiator grille combined with a central air intake and multifaceted head optics. The side surface of the body has several pronounced lines and transitions. The rear is notable for an active spoiler on the trunk lid, a graphic signature of the rear lights combined into a single unit and a massive diffuser with separate exhaust pipes. As for the dimensions, the length, width and height of the car are 4884/1889/1447 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2778 mm.
The interior of the MG7 is adorned with a truncated steering wheel and a huge 33-inch cockpit. The climate control unit is controlled by physical keys. As stock, the model will be equipped with an adaptive three-stage power rear spoiler, frameless doors, a power tailgate, a quad exhaust and 19-inch wheels. In the middle configuration, a panoramic sunroof, Zebra Luoshen 8155 intelligent system, MG PILOT 2.0 driver assistance system and 9-speaker BOSE Premium acoustics will appear. High-end versions will get an E-LSD limited slip differential, mCDC electronically controlled intelligent adjustable suspension and a 14-speaker BOSE Centerpoint surround sound system.
Regardless of the version, under the hood of the MG7 there will be a 2.0-liter “turbo four” with a return of 261 horsepower and 405 Nm. The unit is paired with a non-alternative 9-band "automatic". According to official representatives, the novelty will accelerate to the first “hundred” in immodest 6.5 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
