The sales of New Volkswagen Amarok (2022) officially released

The brutal pickup is based on the architecture of the Ford Ranger. From the same Ford Ranger the truck got also a 2.3-liter engine.

The other day Volkswagen announced the new generation of the Amarok pickup truck. The new model has a brutal angular exterior and traditionally increased in size, compared to the first generation, which sold more than 830,000 copies. The length of the new truck is 5,350 mm and the distance between the axles is 3,270 mm. This gives more space inside and makes the truck more stable on the track.

The front is represented by a two-tiered grille, the upper tier of which is complemented by LED headlights, optionally available in matrix version. Underneath, there is a massive front bumper with integrated fog lights. The stately silhouette is highlighted by bright chisels and angular wheel arches. Stern is notable for an embossed model name on the luggage door, vertical C-shaped lights and chrome bumper with a huge towbar. The truck can overcome a ford of up to 800 mm deep, can carry a cargo of 1160 kg and tow a trailer up to 3.5 tons.

The interior of the Volkswagen Amarok is completely saturated with digital technology. Behind the multifunction steering wheel there are virtual scales displayed on a 12-inch display. And almost the entire central console is occupied by a 12-inch multimedia touchscreen in portrait orientation, enclosed between the original air deflectors. Below there is a modest gearbox selector and a puck for selecting driving modes, of which there are six.

The engine lineup of the Volkswagen Amarok consists entirely of classic internal combustion engines. At the initial stage, a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 150 horsepower will be installed under the hood. In some countries, the output of the same engine will be increased to 170 and 209 hp. The alternative will be a 3.0-liter heavy fuel V6 with an output of 250 horsepower. Also, you can choose a version with 2.3-liter 302-horsepower Eco Boost made by Ford. All low-powered modifications get 6-MCP, and the rest have 10-band "automatic" and all-wheel drive.

Start of sales of the new Amarok should be announced soon.
