SUV Kia EV9 with increased space

The South Korean automaker has released all the details about the zero-emissions Kia Telluride – aka the Kia EV9 three-row electric midsize SUV.

The initial presentation of this SUV took place earlier this month, when a new design was shown that follows the example of the Concept EV9 prototype.

The Kia EV9 is the company's first three-row electric SUV built on the Electric Modular Platform (E-GMP), hailed as a real "breakthrough" in the development of alternatives to ICE vehicles.

Dimensions Kia EV9: 5.01 m long, 1.98 m wide and 1.755 m high, massive wheelbase 3.1 m. 21 in. The all-electric range is nearly 550 km on a single charge, with 800 volt ultra-fast charging capability that allows you to top up your 239 km range in just 15 minutes.

The interior seats six or seven, complemented by a row 2 that has never been seen in a global electric vehicle, with four seating types, including "triple bench seats, basic, lounge and swivel double independent seats."

Those wishing to purchase the EV9 will have to wait a while, pre-orders for the Korean domestic market only begin in the second quarter of this year, and then only selected global markets will receive the first samples.

With E-GMP, the Kia EV9 will have access to all the latest developments in electric vehicles, including the company's 4th generation battery technology. The base option for the mid-size SUV is a 76.1kWh battery pack paired with RWD.

The stock RWD EV9 puts out 160kW (215PS) and 350Nm for a 0-60 mph time of 8.2 seconds. But the RWD Long Range model has an electric motor with a power of less than 150 kW (202 hp) and even if the rated torque remains the same, it is inferior in races for a short distance, the time increases to 9.4 seconds. The AWD model has two electric motors with a total power of 283 kW / 380 hp. and 600 Nm, which allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in six seconds.
