Crossover Lynk & Co 08 (2023) the largest on the CMA architecture

The luxury SUV from Geeley is built on a platform developed by Volvo experts.

Volvo has developed a global architecture CMA (Compact Modular Architecture). Subsequently, the Lynk & Co 01 SUV and Geely Monjaro were built on it. Not so long ago, the platform was updated to CMA 2.0. Now the luxurious Lynk & Co 08 is based on it, the direct competitors of which are Changan Uni-K or BYD Tang and, known in our latitudes, Nissan Murano. The new crossover received a stylish design, fresh technologies and a hybrid installation.

Appearance of Lynk & Co 08

The exterior of the car is made in the corporate style of the luxury division. Along the edges of the edges of the hood housed daytime running lights. Below is the main block of headlights, which is now represented by a single block. The massive front bumper of complex architecture received a huge central air intake, along the edges of which there is a pair of side ones. The body profile combines a “floating” roof, a set of smooth transitions and stampings along the bottom of the doors. A special style is attached to the rear-view mirror housings, the mounts of which have an unusual shape, as well as the fringing of the wheel arches. Contrasting decorative inlays harmonize perfectly with the two-tone pattern of the 21-inch alloy wheels. The stern is distinguished by the relief of the trunk, which houses the taillight module of complex architecture. The crossover is quite large: length - 4820mm, width - 1915mm, height - 1685mm. And the wheelbase is 2,848mm.

Lynk & Co 08 interior

The interior of the crossover is made in the current style with two displays. This is a 12.3-inch virtual instrument panel and a 15.4-inch central control screen with the Flyme Auto interface, which was developed by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu. In addition, a head-up display is provided, the projection of which is located ten meters in front of the car. Also on board the Lynk & Co 08 there is atmospheric interior lighting, a platform for wireless charging of gadgets, a panoramic roof, expensive Harman Kardon acoustics with 23 speakers and much more.

Technical part of Lynk & Co 08

Not much is known about the technical component. It is only stated that Lynk & Co 08 will be a rechargeable hybrid with a new power plant from the Lynk E-Motive family. Under the hood, a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine and an electric motor will be installed.
