A new version of the hybrid Honda CR-V has been released, now with a plug-i

The sixth-generation Chinese Honda CR-V with a 1.5-liter turbocharged and hybrid modification is a bold step into the future for a popular car.

In addition to the turbo and hybrid options, there is also a model with a powertrain, and recently the crossover received a plug-in hybrid version, and it was called CR-V e: PHEV. While the previous generation also featured a plug-in hybrid system, the new one boasts more modern technology.

The external design is no different from other sixth-generation CR-Vs, only a “flap” on the fender for a car charging port, in the interior the mechanical gear shifter has been replaced with a push-button one.

CR-V e: PHEV uses a 2.0 liter Atkinson cycle gas engine paired with two electric motors, with a strong battery that allows the car to run on it alone. The total system power is 215 hp. and 335 Nm of torque. The range on the battery is up to 73 kilometers, Honda claims the ability of the cross-country to accelerate to 62.11 kilometers per liter, and the projected range is 916 kilometers. The fuel tank capacity of the CR-V is approximately 50 liters.

The previous generation CR-V was never sold outside of China, but given Honda's drive towards electrification, there's a chance the corporation will consider selling this model to a wider market.
