Gif Review: New Ford F-150 Raptor R with 700-horsepower V8

The most powerful pickup in the Ford F-150 lineup has a 5.2-liter unit, all-wheel drive, and a reconfigured suspension. Its main competitor is the Ram 1500 TRX

The powerful F-150 Raptor was introduced early last year. The pickup is equipped with a 3.5-liter "biturbo-six" of EcoBoost family. At the same presentation, the company's representatives promised more "charged" modification with a letter R. And, this long-awaited premiere took place one of these days.

The novelty received a 5.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a mechanical supercharger. The same system is installed on the Mustang Shelby GT500. However, in the case of the pickup the output is 700 powers and 868 Nm, which is a little less than that of the coupe. All these efforts are transmitted through a 10-band automatic transmission to the company's all-wheel-drive system with a locking rear axle.

Suspension received a number of improvements, the main of which are electronically controlled shock absorbers and extended arms with other mountings. After all the improvements and installation of wheels with 37-inch mud tires, clearance has increased to an impressive 333 mm.

The Ford F-150 Raptor R has a tinted grille, bumpers, a special exhaust system, wheel arch covers, and a contrasting air intake on the raised hood.

The interior of the two-row cabin is highlighted by sports seats with special trim, off-road cruise control and a 12-inch touchscreen multimedia system with original widgets.
