Honda Civic Type R 2023 - the most powerful in the history of the model

Honda announced the new generation of the Civic Type R 2023 as early as that week. Then details about the appearance and some features of the "charged" hatchback became known. More recently, there is information about the power plant and dynamic performance.

Externally, the new Type R stands out with a contrast grille with mesh filling, a splitter in the front bumper, 19-inch alloy wheels, an antifender on the trunk lid and a three-barrel exhaust system integrated into the diffuser.

Like the previous generation, the new Honda Civic Type R hides under the hood of a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo four with 330 horsepower and 420 Nm. These figures are available at 6,500 rpm. The unit is paired with a six-speed mechanics.

The previous version developed only 310 horsepower. In addition to increased power, the new model has a stiffer body, a revised drive system and a number of other changes in preparation for a new record on the North Loop.

The main goal is to win over the front-wheel drive hatchbacks.
