Mercedes-AMG CLE53 2024 accelerates to a 62mph in 4 seconds
The newest AMG will go on sale in the U.S. sometime next year.
Mercedes-Benz recently announced a new model, the Mercedes-AMG CLE53, which is a powerful version of the C-Class and E-Class coupe fusion. The car will appear on the US market in 2024.
The Mercedes-AMG CLE53 demonstrates impressive innovation in the world of modern automobiles.
At the heart of the model is the M256M inline six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3 liters, which with turbocharging produces 443 horsepower and 559 N-m torque.
A special feature of this powertrain is the Overboost function, which for a short period, up to 12 seconds, is able to increase torque to 600 N-m, which provides additional dynamics during acceleration.
The changes to the engine design are tangible, with optimized combustion chambers, modified intake and exhaust passages, new piston rings and improved fuel injection.
A supercharger paired with a new auxiliary electric compressor increases supercharging efficiency, which enhances engine power.
A key element of the Mercedes-AMG CLE53 is the second-generation starter generator, which is part of the 48-volt mild hybrid system. This system not only improves fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions, but also provides additional support during acceleration, making acceleration smoother and faster.
With such performance, the Mercedes-AMG CLE53 demonstrates that it can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 4 seconds and its top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h. These characteristics make it one of the most powerful and technologically advanced cars in its class.
The CLE53 is equipped with an AMG SpeedShift TCT 9G transmission that sends power to the standard AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system.
The braking system includes 14.6-inch front brakes with four-piston calipers and 14.2-inch rear brakes with single-piston floating retainers.
Optional AMG Performance Studio, AMG Night and AMG Carbon Fiber packages complete the car's appearance.
The interior features a 12.3-inch display in front of the driver and an 11.9-inch center screen, as well as seats with improved support as part of the AMG Performance package.
