Porsche has unveiled the interior of its new Macan electric crossover, showing off its unique design and technology features in a series of photos. Highlights include an augmented reality projection system that displays information directly on the windshield.

The Porsche Macan electric crossover impresses with its advanced interior design, which includes one of the world's largest projection displays. This display creates an augmented reality effect, covering the area in front of the vehicle for a distance of 10 meters and a width of 2.2 meters. This allows the driver to receive important traffic information directly in his field of vision.

The Macan's front fascia features three screens: a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch center touchscreen and an additional screen of the same size in front of the front passenger. Video content, such as from YouTube, can be displayed on this screen. Users can download apps via the Porsche App Center, where services such as Spotify, WebEx for video conferencing, maps and various games are available.

While many automakers are moving to all-touch controls, Porsche keeps the physical buttons and switches in the electric Macan while adding modern technology. The center console features a combination control unit that includes temperature control as well as heated and ventilated seats.

A special feature of the Macan is the augmented reality projection, which displays navigation cues and lane control directly on the windshield, making it easier to navigate and safer to drive.

The electric-powered Porsche Macan is expected to hit the market in early 2024. The car will be built on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform and will offer a choice of several powertrains. All variants will be equipped with 100-kilowatt batteries and an 800-volt system that allows charging with up to 350 kilowatts of power.

According to preliminary reports, the electric Macan will share many similarities with the Taycan model, including two electric motors at the front and rear axles. The combined output of the powertrains will be 612 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, with one of the motors shifted to the rear for optimal weight distribution.
