Honda CR-V crossover will consume only 1.6 liters of gasoline per 100km

Stylish and super economical SUV should be announced before the end of this fall

Nowadays, hybrids are gaining popularity not only for environmental reasons. Another huge advantage of new car is the low fuel consumption of it. Usually it is in the range of 4-5 liters. But, the Japanese have decided to significantly reduce these values. Honda CR-V will get a system that is able to spend only 1.61 liters of gasoline per 100km.

The updated crossover was unveiled a couple of months ago. The stock version, as before, hides a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine under the hood, and more expensive versions have installed a mild hybrid, based on the 2.0-liter atmospheric "four". A plug-in hybrid with an upgraded i-MMD system will also be available for the PRC market. The power of the two-liter atmospheric engine will be raised to 150 horsepower. However, the electric motor will generate the same 184 powers. Thus, the consumption for "one hundred km" will be reduced to fantastic 1.61 liters, and the top speed will increase up to 193 km/hour. Without the participation of the internal combustion engine crossover can travel 65 km of route.

External differences of the Honda CR-V will be concluded in a redesigned grille pattern and a different rear bumper with separate exhaust pipes. Also the SUV will receive full black color. The novelty is promised to be introduced in the Celestial Empire by the end of Autumn. Later, similar units will appear in the Old World.
