Amazon to lay off 9,000 more employees

In a memorandum signed by the company's CEO Andy Yassi, Amazon confirmed that it will lay off thousands more employees in the coming weeks. The company has laid off 18,000 employees since November last year.

Massive layoffs at Amazon are far from over. The company said it is planning further layoffs that will take effect in the coming weeks and will affect thousands more employees. The laid-off workers will add to the 18,000 who have already lost their jobs at the company since last November.

Andy Yassi, CEO of Amazon, explained that the move will affect about 9,000 employees in various areas. Among the hardest hit sectors are Amazon Web Services (AWS), advertising, Twitch, and PXT (people experience and technology solutions).
