Tesla releases its own GigaBier
It was introduced in 2020 and is now on sale. The bottles are modeled after the Cybertruck.
After almost a year and a half of waiting, Tesla, led by Elon Musk, has released the GigaBier.
You can already buy it on the Tesla website. Keep in mind that, like the company's other products that have little to do with promoting electric mobility, GigaBier won't be cheap - compared to other traditional brands, of course.
Tesla is selling its beer in a box of 3 bottles (330 ml each) in exchange for 89 euros. In addition, the bottle has a very elegant design that the automaker says is inspired by the Cybertruck. Of course, these are straight lines, reminiscent of a long-awaited pickup truck.
GigaBier, at 5% alcohol*, is made with water, malted barley, yeast and a small amount of cyber hops, an electrified variant of hops.
"The Tesla GigaBier is designed to mimic the shape of the Cybertruck while maintaining the German Reinheitsgebot's 500-year tradition."
When they mention "Reinheitsgebot" they are not referring to the brand, but to the Beer Purity Law. This is a German postulate, according to which such a drink can only be brewed from water, barley malt and hops. So, Tesla thinks to abide by the rules that were adopted back in 1516.
Be careful, if you want to purchase Tesla beer, you'd better hurry. They point out that this is a limited edition product and, of course, it can only be purchased by people who have reached the age of majority.
GigaBier is currently only sold in the following European countries: Spain, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, UK, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal and Sweden. At the same time, Tesla did not say whether it plans to export its beer outside the Old World.
This isn't the first time Tesla has tried its hand at an alcoholic drink. During 2020, she introduced the Teslaquila. On April 1, most thought it was a joke from the automaker. However, in November of that year, they put it up for sale for $250.
Later, in April 2022, they released a limited edition Teslaquila. Its price reached $420, but that didn't stop it from selling out in minutes. Will the same happen with GigaBier? We'll find out soon.
