In February, global sales of computer chips fell to a 14-year low
Chip sales in the last month of winter totaled $39.7 billion.
Global chip sales fell 20.7% to $39.7 billion in February, down from $50 billion in the same month last year, according to a press release from the Semiconductor Industry Association.
That's the biggest drop in 14 years. Chip sales in February were down 4% from the previous month (from $41.3 billion in January).
