Madonna is suspected of buying a painting stolen in France a century ago

The performer wished she had taken an online tour of the house.

Recently, singer Madonna took an online tour of her home on social media and got involved in a creepy scandal with criminal overtones.

A painting specialist from France happened to notice the painting "Diana and Endymion" by the artist Jerome-Martin Langlois on the wall.

Commissioned by Louis XVIII for the Palace of Versailles, the painting was exhibited in a gallery in Amiens in 1873 and is still considered a true cultural and historical heritage of France.

The only problem is that the painting disappeared without a trace during the First World War, only to reappear at a private auction in the late eighties.

The secret buyer bought it for nearly four million dollars, and nothing has been heard of it since. And now it hangs on the wall of Madonna's house.

It is not known whether the French authorities will initiate an investigation, but ordinary French have already attacked social networks singer with a demand to return the picture in his homeland. In response, so far silence...
