AST publishing house has published a book about Cheburashka

Dmitry Dyachenko's tape became so popular that it was decided to novelize it.

The AST publishing house announced the release of the book "Cheburashka" based on the film of the same name by Dmitry Dyachenko. The picture in less than a month became the absolute record holder of Russian film distribution (5.9 billion rubles in fees at the moment). On the wave of interest in the film, the demand for Eduard Uspensky's books about Cheburashka, toys in the form of this character and other products with him increased. The book was written by Anna Maslova, based on the screenplay by Vitaly Shlyappo. “A scenario where an absolutely adult story of Gena was woven into an absolutely childish story of Cheburashka,” Shlyappo himself described the literary basis.

Young and adult readers will be able to immerse themselves in the story of the acquaintance and friendship between Cheburashka and the gardener Gena now in book format.

The book will be released with an initial print run of over 15,000 copies. Its cover will be identical to the movie poster.
