Legendary composer and author of the hit Magic Moments Burt Bacharach died

Among his countless awards are even three Oscars.

The famous American pianist and composer Burt Bacharach died at his home near Los Angeles at the age of ninety-five.

The world first heard his name in the fifties when he toured with singer and actress Marlene Dietrich. He later began writing for soul singer Dionne Warwick, creating more than three dozen hits for her.

Bacharach has written extensively for motion pictures. In particular, his music can be heard in the famous musical "One Promise" and in one of the most famous James Bond films, "Casino Royale".

Bacharach has written hundreds of songs, the most famous of which are Anyone Who Had a Heart, Magic Moments, Walk On By, Any Day Now, Alfie and many others.

During his nearly seventy-year career, the composer has won nearly forty different awards, including three Academy Awards for Best Original Score.
