Grammy Awards for Latin Music Presented in Spain
Shakira, Natalia Lafourcade, Carol G and others shone on the ceremony carpet.
The 24th Grammy Awards in the field of Latin music took place in Seville, Spain, and was filled with outstanding performances from major artists. Carol G, Shakira and Natalia Lafourcade took home awards in the main categories.
Carol G received the award for best album of the year, her fourth studio collection “Mañana Será Bonito”. It was also awarded Best Urban Album. Shakira and Bizarrap received a Grammy for song of the year - single collaboration “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol.53”, as well as for “best pop composition”. Both Shakira and Carol G earned Best Urban/Fusion Performance for their collaboration "TQG."
Shakira took the stage twice at the ceremony to perform and several more times to receive awards. She was supported in the hall by her sons Milan and Sasha.
The Record of the Year award went to Natalia Lafourcade for the track “De Todas Las Flores”. 19-year-old Venezuelan singer Joaquina won Best New Artist. Edgar Barrera, who led the competitive race with 13 nominations, won his first-ever international Grammy in this year's new category of Songwriter of the Year.
Other highlights of the ceremony in Seville included Rosalía's opening performance of "Se Nos Rompió El Amor", Feyd's performance of "Le Pido a Dios", the duet of Pablo Alboran and Maria Becerra "Amigos" and the performance of Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma with "Ella Baila Sola."
And of course, no less spectacular was the arrival of the guests and participants of the evening on the red carpet. As they say, the outfits speak for themselves.
