"Oppenheimer" among BAFTA nominees

Having won Golden Globe and Critics' Choice awards, Oppenheimer is once again a favorite to win at the BAFTA Awards. The full list of nominations was revealed Thursday, with the British-American film about the father of the atomic bomb up for 13 awards.

The BAFTA Awards, presented by the British Academy Film Awards, will be presented on February 18th. The event will take place at the Royal Festival Hall Southbank Center in London.

This year's main presenter will be David Tennant, a Scottish actor who has appeared in productions such as Doctor Who and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Princes William and Kate of Wales attended the 2023 gala. They were expected to arrive this year, but at the moment the chances are slim, given the princess's recent operation and the medical intervention that the British King Charles III will have to undergo.
