Life as a Dance: Three Plastic Performances Worth Seeing
These productions, taking place at Moscow venues, will make you think about eternally relevant topics.
Summer is ending, but this is no reason to be sad. For those who have actively spent three hot months and do not want to slow down, we recommend paying attention to the plastic performances that can be seen in the new season in Moscow theaters and concert halls. This relatively young direction of theatrical art has already gained great popularity among those who like to live brightly, dynamically, at a fast pace. Therefore, the capital's theaters and other venues are increasingly announcing premieres of plastic productions. Here are those that can be visited in the near future:
"Yellow Arrow" (Taganka Theater, Fakelny Stage).16+
The story of the same name by Viktor Pelevin became the basis for this performance, which invites the viewer to reflect on the meaning and content of life - both globally and personally. Director-choreographer Anna Zakusova described the future premiere as a journey that will certainly lead to happiness. A train that is heading towards a destroyed bridge. Life rushing towards its end. Is it possible to get off a train that never stops? How to decide on changes? Each of those who watched the performance will answer these questions in their own way.
Premiere - August 7.
"Life is Everywhere" (Moscow International House of Music, Theater Hall).6+
Much has been said about the unequal ratio of men and women on earth, and Yegor Druzhinin took the risk of telling about it without words, only with the help of dance. Six men and fifteen women. Each of these people is lonely, looking for a partner, but in the crowd, in the hustle and bustle, it is difficult not to lose yourself, not to mention finding someone with whom you want to go through life. Romanian and gypsy musical motifs give the production a special flavor, but at the same time, each of the characters is familiar to everyone in the audience in one way or another. They are just like us. Sad and cheerful, serious and naive... They live in a place with the symbolic name of Life. They live as the name of their place of residence dictates to them - dancing, having fun and crying. The next performance of the play will be held on November 29.
"Funny" (ZIL Cultural Center).16+
A plastic performance based on F. Dostoevsky's "Dream of a Ridiculous Man". The production of the youth theater "Irbis" in a form understandable to a young audience, in the language of dance, asks the audience questions, the answers to which will be found during the performance.
The next show is August 29.
