Apollo 10 1⁄2: A Space Age Childhood was withdrawn of Oscar nomination

According to the organizers, the creators of animation violated the technical regulations.

Apollo 10 ½: Adventures of the Space Age will definitely not win an Oscar.

Previously included in the list of nominees for "Best Animated Film" project is crossed out of the list of applicants.

As stated in the American Film Academy, the reason for the suspension was the too frequent use of photorelay technique, or otherwise rotoscoping - redrawing the movements of the character on the film.

The director himself declares that such technique was used only for twenty percent of the total content, which allows the film to be a part of the Oscar.

But the project, which tells the story of teenager Stan, who is chosen to be an astronaut for a flight into space in 1969, before the legendary landing on the moon of the Apollo 11 crew, was still removed from the nomination.
