Battlefield 2042 will be free
Battlefield 2042 will be free to Game Pass and EA Play subscribers.
Already in December, Game Pass and EA Play subscribers will be able to play Battlefield 2042 for free. Players without a subscription will also be able to participate in the game, but as part of the free weekend.
The promotion will be available on all platforms:
Steam: Dec 1 10:00 AM PDT - Dec 5 10:00 AM PDT
Xbox: December 1 10:01 AM PT - December 5 10:59 AM PT;
PlayStation: December 16 12:00 AM PT - December 23 12:00 AM PT.
The third season will add a new specialist, a new map and weapons from the Portal mode: XM8 from Bad Company 2 and A-91 from Battlefield 3. And in early 2023, the class system will return to the game.
