OnePlus will release its first mechanical keyboard soon

The company wants to expand its product catalog beyond mobile phones, headphones and watches.

OnePlus, which hinted at a dual-monitor entry into the PC market a few weeks ago, plans to launch its first peripheral in February, an RGB-backlit mechanical keyboard that will feature an interesting design, according to a recent image leak.

A photo posted by 91Mobiles shows the top right area of what will be OnePlus' first mechanical keyboard. This one, in particular, will be completely white, with some elements in different colors. At the top, there will be a red button that could be for turning on and pairing the keyboard, as well as a yellow-colored Enter key.

OnePlus, for its part, states on its website that the keyboard will have a “double-joint layout” and that the keys will have some sort of dampers for smooth pressing. In addition, it is reported that while the device will be officially announced in February, it will not begin production until March or May; significant latency considering it's a keyboard. Mind you, the company is announcing it in India first, but may later expand to the global market.

Earlier it became known that Samsung is preparing a Galaxy Book 3 with an OLED display.
