GREENWORKS cordless circular saw and angle grinder: lightweight and compact

Following the current trend for environmentally friendly, powerful and easy-to-use tools, GREENWORKS has focused all its efforts on cordless technology. The line of cordless hand tools and garden equipment, powered by a single 24V universal battery, now includes 30 tools. The circular saw and angle grinder play an important role.

A circular saw is used to cut various materials (usually wood) with a toothed or abrasive wheel. Such tools are often quite massive and need to be mounted on a table or workbench. However, GRENNWORKS prefers handheld models. Their advantages are small size, light weight and mobility. Cordless-powered circular saws and bolsters have no hard attachment to the base. They are a good choice for the hobby mechanic.

The GREENWORKS 24V line includes the GREENWORKS G24CS cordless circular saw. This compact and lightweight tool (only 3.35 kg) is the perfect replacement for a corded circular saw. It can "dig" softwoods: spruce, pine, cedar, fir and other low and medium density (up to 740 kg/m3) species.

Not even the most experienced sawyer can handle this circular saw - the laser cutting line indicator will not let you make a mistake. To protect the user from injury, GREENWORKS has included a blade guard, an ergonomic rubberized handle that provides a firm grip, and a built-in protection against accidental start. In addition, the GREENWORKS G24CS has a magnetic brake that can instantly stop the rotation of the saw blade.

The disk has a diameter of 185 mm and its rotation speed reaches 4500 rpm. Smooth speed adjustment provides maximum working comfort. A spindle lock is provided for easy and safe disk replacement.

The maximum cutting depth of the GREENWORKS G24CS is 64 mm. When cutting at an angle of 45° (the tool is equipped with an adjustable base plate), this value is 48 mm. Built-in air blowing of the cutting line ensures a clean cut.

The GREENWORKS GD24AG cordless angle grinder is designed for cutting thin materials. Its first advantage is a reliable and durable brushless motor. It provides a disk speed of up to 10 500 rpm. Special cooling and ventilation systems protect the motor from overheating.

The light weight of only 1.9 kg relieves the user from unnecessary physical effort during use. The ergonomic rubberized housing and removable handle, which can be mounted on either the right or left side, make working with the tool comfortable and safe.

The grinder works with 22.2 mm diameter tools. Thanks to the special design of the spindle lock, tool changes are quick and easy.

To ensure that the grinder does not start jerkily, the designers have included a starter current limiter. It ensures a smooth start.

The diameter of the wheel this tool works with is 125 mm. The maximum cutting depth is 28 mm.

The G24CS saw and the GD24AG grinder work with a GREENWORKS 24V battery, which is compatible with 30 other tools in the 24V range.
