Minisforum presents the NUCG5 mini-PC
The Minisforum NUCG5 is the latest solution sold by a manufacturer specializing in compact computers.
Global sales of desktops continue to decline compared to laptops, but there is a segment that continues to grow among them: the mini-PCs.
The manufacturer chose carbon fiber for the Minisforum NUCG5: the use of premium material gives the advantage of lightness, durability and aesthetics.
Dimensions of the device: 109 x 110 x 61 mm. Minisforum NUCG5 is equipped with ports on both front and back where two external antennas for wireless connections are located. In addition, the device has a VESA mount for mounting on walls or behind monitors.
The Minisforum NUCG5 is also updated inside with twelfth-generation Intel processors, specifically with a 12-core, 16-thread Core i5-1240P processor, running at 4.4 GHz and 12 MB of cache memory. Its integrated graphics is an Intel Iris Xe processor capable of displaying content on up to three simultaneous displays.
It includes two SO-DIMM slots for up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory and for storage, offers a PCIe SSD and a 2.5-inch bay for expansion with SSDs or hard drives.
It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and has plenty of ports: two Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 and 2.0, dual HDMI output, Ethernet LAN and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Minisforum NUCG5 is preloaded with Windows 11 Pro and will be available next month in several configurations. With 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, it's priced at $579.
