The most striking feature of the mid-range Unihertz Moon is the lighting system, which can display RGB effects for notifications or just nice colours.
Unihertz has made several BlackBerry-inspired phones in the past, but now it's going for something more modern.
The Unihertz Moon uses a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC with two Cortex-A76 processor cores, six Cortex-A55 cores and Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. It includes 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and a camera system with three sensors, a 108-megapixel main camera, a 20-megapixel night vision camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera, as well as a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.
Other features include a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, a fingerprint sensor, face unlock, a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC support and dual nano SIM cards. It runs Android 12 and has a "soft key" that can be used as a shortcut to launch an assistant, service or app.
The Unihertz Moon is expected to be available in March 2023 for less than $300.
