Sonos speakers are already compatible with Apple Music
The company has updated its Sonos S2 app to include support for Apple Music with Dolby Atmos and Space Audio support, among other things.
Dolby Atmos-enabled Sonos speakers, such as the recently released Era 300, can already play Apple Music with Dolby Atmos and Space Audio support. The company has updated its Sonos S2 app for iOS and Android with this new feature, which has only been available on Amazon Music so far, in addition to other improvements and innovations.
We reiterate that the ability to play songs in Apple Music using Dolby Atmos is only available on Space Audio-enabled Sonos speakers: Era 300, Sonos Arc and Arc SL, and second generation Sonos Beam. To play content in surround sound, simply update the Sonos app from the App Store or Google Play Store and link your Apple Music account. The control panel will display an icon on one side of the screen during playback. Keep in mind that not all songs available on Apple Music are compatible with Dolby Atmos.
Sonos also lets you play Dolby Atmos and Space Audio songs through Amazon Music just like you do with Apple Music.
The Sonos app will soon show the Wi-Fi signal strength connected to the speakers
The company also confirmed that a feature will be activated over the next few weeks that will allow you to check the signal strength of the connected Wi-Fi.
“When connected to a Wi-Fi network, your Sonos products will now display Wi-Fi signal strength in the App Settings tab. Finally, the app now displays detailed information about the network Sonos is connected to, such as the frequency or wireless channel of the router.
