Elon Musk's latest trick: change Twitter logo to Dogecoin logo

Twitter may be falling apart, but that doesn't stop Elon Musk from having fun. The latest thing the social media mogul did was change his logo to that of Dogecoin, his cryptocurrency fetish.

If you're logged into Twitter by this time, you'll be faced with a fairly obvious modification: the social network has abandoned its traditional bluebird logo and adopted the Dogecoin logo. There doesn't seem to be much explanation for this change other than Elon Musk's latest trolling and his cryptocurrency meme fetish.

The Dogecoin logo is now displayed instead of the social network icon in the upper left corner of the screen above the web menu. Similarly, in the center of the screen when you load the page for the first time or refresh it. So far, Elon Musk has not provided any explanation for the changes, and it is not known if he is going to give them.

The tycoon is known to be friends with Billy Marcus, the creator of Dogecoin, and in recent years he has not missed an opportunity to promote or joke with the cryptocurrency. He was even one of the main characters during his run as host of Saturday Night Live in 2021.

Elon Musk changes the Twitter logo, and Dogecoin quotes skyrocket

If anything hasn't changed, it's that all Elon Musk is doing with Dogecoin is sending a meme-cryptocurrency quote to the clouds. This time was no exception. Within minutes of him changing the Twitter logo to $DOGE, the price of the crypto asset skyrocketed.

At the time of this writing, it was trading at $0.097 and up over 20% in the last hour. Prior to the changes to the social network, the value of Dogecoin had stabilized at $0.077.

At the moment, it remains a mystery how long the Dogecoin logo will last on the cover of Twitter, but this change has not gone unnoticed. It remains to be seen if Elon Musk will give any comments on this matter.
