Asus console coming out 'earlier than expected'

Asus has confirmed its readiness to start global sales of the ROG Ally portable console. At the moment, twice the performance competitor Steam Deck is shrouded in mystery.

According to the manufacturer's statement on Twitter, the portable console is already ready for global sales in a number of markets. Along with this, a launch date will soon be announced, which is expected to happen "earlier than anticipated".

The Steam Deck competitor is based on a custom 4nm AMD processor based on Zen 4 architecture, which will work together with an integrated RDNA 3 graphics chip. If this configuration is not enough, it is possible to connect an external graphics card from the ASUS ROG XG Mobile family. The operating system is Windows 11.

With this specification, you can play on a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1080p and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The response time will be 5ms, and the screen refresh rate will be 120Hz.

The choice will be given a version of white or black, weighing 608 grams and measuring 280 x 133 x 39 mm.

It remains to wait for the official announcement of Asus about the start of sales, cost and autonomy tests.
