Named the criterion for a happy marriage

Scientists have found that a certain difference in the age of partners gives them a chance for a strong, happy relationship.

When choosing a partner for life, each of us is guided by personal preferences, criteria and values. The Journal of Population Economics published a study that found that couples in which the age difference of partners is more than 10 years are less satisfied with their relationship than those in which the difference is not so great. It has been found that the most harmonious unions are concluded by those couples in which one is older than the other by a maximum of three years.

Psychologists believe that girls planning to get married before the age of 30 will not make a mistake with the choice if they give preference to men 5-7 years older than themselves. Those who are planning a serious relationship after 30 should look for a potential spouse among those with whom the age difference does not exceed 3 years.
