Each of these habits will improve your health and lift your mood.

In summer, nature itself gives us many opportunities to improve our health. It is only important to use these opportunities correctly. Geneticist Alexey Moskalev enumerated them in an interview with AiF:

Getting closer to nature.

A picnic, a hike, a game of badminton at the cottage - any stay in nature in the summer - among the noisy leaves and singing birds is good for you. During such a vacation, cortisol, a hormone that increases stress levels and accelerates the aging of the body, effectively "drops" in the body.

Sun.

Sunbathing is one of the most popular summer pleasures. The sun is the main source of vitamin D3, deficiency of which is quite common among residents of the Central Federal District of Russia. To enrich the body with the cherished vitamin, it is necessary to spend 15-20 minutes in the sun every day. Further exposure to direct sunlight without sunscreen can damage the skin, so it is always better to carry a protective agent and headgear.

Strolls.

If possible, daily and on foot. According to a recent study, every 1,000 steps walked reduced the risk of death (from whatever cause) by 21%. Walking less than 3,000 steps per day was associated with a 300% increase in the risk of all-cause mortality compared with a group walking 16,000 steps, added Alexei Moskalev.

Water.

In summer it is recommended to drink more water - not juices or carbonated drinks, but pure water without gas - it quenches thirst more effectively and does not contain sugar, which in juice or soda is quite a lot (because of this the body perceives such drinks as food. And thirst, of course, is not quenched). In addition, a competent drinking regime will help to avoid overheating.

Refusal from alcohol.

Alcoholic beverages have the opposite effect - they remove moisture from the body (in hot weather it is already not enough).

Vegetables and fruits.

Including more plant foods in your daily menu will strengthen your immune system and give you strength. In addition, fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables are delicious. If you do not want to eat fruit in its pure form, prepare canapes or fruit salad - an interesting presentation of the dish is sure to cause a desire to try it. Ideally, vegetables or fruit should be present at every meal - both fresh and processed.
