Ashton Kutcher planned to name a peak at the South Pole after his wife

The actor got there as part of a trial he took after being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease.

Three years ago, Ashton Kutcher suffered from vasculitis, an autoimmune disease that rendered him unable to walk, see or hear one day. After the star of "Jobs: Empire of Temptation" was able to overcome the ailment, he decided to test himself physically in any way he could. "I visited the South Pole, I ran a marathon, I participated in (the TV show) 'Into the Wild with Bear Grylls.' I was just going to go as far as I could, just to get the confidence in myself that I'm fully back, that I exist," Kutcher told reporters.

Specifically, on a trip to Antarctica, he conquered a previously unknown peak and got to give it a name. "We climbed the mountain, and he (partner) said: "You're the first person to ever get up here. You have to name it.' And I'm like, 'Is that right? Then it's Mt. Mila,'" Ashton noted, specifying that he was going to name the peak after his wife, actress Mila Kunis.

However, as it turns out, naming parts of the landscape after people who are still living is not a good omen. So Kutcher changed the name "Mila" to "Terrific.
