Vyacheslav Zaitsev showed his "Nocturne" collection at Moscow Fashion Week

The 84-year-old fashion designer was personally present at the fashion show.

This year the Slava Zaitsev fashion house celebrates its 40th anniversary, first in the Soviet union and then in the Russian market. All these years the brand has been a kind of flagship of the domestic clothing industry. In fact, it came out of it. After all, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Zaitsev himself was born in Ivanovo, the center of the textile industry of the USSR, and his mother worked as a seamstress.

Of course, the designer could not miss Moscow Fashion Week. He literally flooded the audience with colors and prints, thanks to his collection. "Nocturne" is the 19th century name for a small piece of music created to be performed at night . And at this time of the day it was customary, which remains a tradition to this day, to dress brightly and imposingly. So Zaitsev's models turned out just like that - clothed in evening clothes. In the daytime they looked flamboyant and even pretentious in the open air in "Zaryadye" park. But for the evening such attire is just right. Especially for those ladies who want to attract the attention of others..

Also, looking at the floral riot on the catwalk that night, the comparison with the royal races at Ascot in Britain involuntarily came to mind. Well, here they are, the outfits for the ladies who came to the racetrack. Compulsory dress code: just a dress, length below the knee, hat, gloves, - everything as expected from a lover of showing off, to show themselves and see others. It is a pity that the pre-revolutionary tradition of races in Moscow and in Russia in general has been lost. The annual show is worth going out in full armor and then discussing for a long time whose outfit was better. But back to "Nocturne".

The maestro's collection is amazingly integral in style, but at the same time varied in shape, fabrics and decorations. Perhaps, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich created outfits of all colors of the spectrum. There were scarlet suits and dresses of satin and lace on the podium, blue, light green, beige coats paired with overblown dresses fluttered with airy chiffon. Emerald and rich bordeaux bustier dresses with puffed skirts accentuated the curves of models' figures, and brocade and jacquard with metallic created porcelain dolls of girls..

It seemed that the designer, like the owner of the Copper Mountain from Bazhov's fairy tales, took the gems out of the magic bag, looked at them in the light for a long time and knew what image he would come up with from this or that stone. Fantasy, but so what? He gave the audience gathered at Zaryadye a fairy tale.

The silhouettes, as always with Zaitsev, were very feminine. This time they were romantic. The models fluttered down the runway like mysterious butterflies and flowers. Puffed skirts, long sleeves, cuffs and frills, wedges and bows. The images were well thought. From the makeup and hats, to the unusual beauty of the necklaces. For the use of such non-trivial accessories, of course, special thanks to the brand. One still needs to look for such unique items abroad, but they are made and shown here. And this cannot but rejoice. In this case there is no need for import substitution. Identity and originality are our specialty, which was once again demonstrated on the podium by Vyacheslav Zaitsev.
