Naked Dresses at the 2023 Oscars

Unlike the music awards, the main evening of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is elegant. But the trend for nudity was “read” here in the outfits of some stars.

The Oscar ceremony - the main award in the world of cinema - is always remembered not only for films and soundtracks, but also for the outfits of the stars. As a rule, for such a prestigious event, the nominees and their "halves" try to dress festively and elegantly. But the general “serious” tone does not prevent designers from “sewing” various trends into dresses, including “hooligan” ones, such as the nude trend. At the Oscars, you're unlikely to see lingerie that shows through layers of tulle or fishnets, but there are still varying degrees of openness in the outfits of the stars. The evening that took place on March 12 at the Los Angeles Dolby Theater was no exception.

So here are our top 7 nude dresses from the 2023 Oscars.

Rihanna

The 35-year-old singer, who is preparing to become a mother for the second time, does not leave her love for showing off her rounded belly. At the 95th prestigious film awards ceremony, she appeared before the audience in a dark brown dress from the Alaïa brand, combining thick tulle and eco-leather. The lower half of the dress, modeled in the form of an appliqué and embellished with a long train, especially attracted attention. Everything that was needed was covered, but at the same time there was room for a flight of fancy.

Ashley Graham

The 35-year-old plus-size model and mother of three chose a black dress by Alberta Ferretti to attend the Academy Night. Chiffon sleeves allowed Ashley to effectively “dispel” them in front of photographers, and a sequined mesh skirt revealed her appetizing forms to the eyes of those around her. Courage in the outfit Graham also added a "geometric" top with crossed stripes on the stomach.

Lady Gaga

The 36-year-old singer/actress impressed the audience with the austere elegance of her entire look. For the ceremony, Gaga combed her hair smoothly, which is uncharacteristic for her, used thick black arrows and bright red lipstick in her makeup. She added restraint to a spectacular black dress from Versace, combining nylon mesh and black taffeta. The top of the dress is a bustier, the bottom is a bell skirt. But the most interesting, however, was the view of the artist from behind. The cutout on the back was so deep that it exposed part of the buttocks. Here, such a hooligan note in the Oscar image of Lady Gaga, which was very suitable for her image of a rebel.

Kelly Ripa

The 52-year-old TV presenter also wore a black dress designed from two-layer tulle, embellished with embroidery and rhinestones, to the Oscars. The underwear was visible, but in moderation. Kelly complemented the spectacular outfit with rich makeup and neat hair, laying her blond hair in the form of waves.

Mindy Kaling

The star of Ocean's 8 appeared before the photographers in a white dress from the "sorceress" of wedding fashion, fashion designer Vera Wang. The sculpted top, long sleeves extended to the bottom and a column skirt created the impression of a statuette. True, Kaling did not let those present admire the “white” version of the outfit for a long time, changing it to the “black” version to present the next nomination on the Dolby Theater stage.

Halle Berry

The 56-year-old Oscar winner also played on the Oscars runway in a white Tamara Ralph puffy dress. A rather high degree of openness was created by a high cut, thanks to which the Monster's Ball star showed off slender, muscular legs. A halter top adorned with flowers completed the festive look of the actress, who was accompanied to the evening by her boyfriend, musician Van Hunt.

Holly Bailey

The 22-year-old "Mermaid", whose name is on everyone's lips this year, thanks to her participation in the Disney fantasy film, came to the Oscars in a baby blue ball gown. Several layers of tulle, from which it was sewn, emphasized the chiseled figure of the singer. And the "azure" color became a reference to the role, which, we hope, will not be the last in the career of an aspiring actress. The Little Mermaid will hit theaters on May 26th.
