Maria Sharapova dropped a hint about becoming a mom

On April 19, on her 35th birthday, the five-time Grand Slam winner shared the good news that she is expecting a baby. Since 2018, the former athlete is in a relationship with British millionaire Alexander Gilks. Then Maria posted a picture on social networks, in which she is standing on the shore of the ocean with a rounded belly. And in a comment, she joked, "Great start!!! Eating birthday cake for two has always been my specialty."

Now Sharapova wrote the word "mama" in the "status" section of her social networks, and her followers concluded that she has already given birth to her firstborn son. Whether this is true or not, Maria, apparently, will confirm or deny it a little later.

The famous Russian tennis player ended her career in February 2020, after 28 years of performances. In an essay for Vanity Fair, she summed up her athletic days and said she was "ready to continue competing on a different type of terrain".
