Nike released Willy Wonka sneakers
The promotion is timed to coincide with the premiere of the film “Wonka” with Timothée Chalamet in the role of the “chocolate” wizard.
Timothée Chalamet and Warner Bros. Nike have teamed up to release sneakers called Dunk Lows in honor of the actor's new film, Wonka. Its world premiere took place this week in London. The “circulation of the edition” consisted of only five pairs with a color palette characteristic of Willy Wonka. The version features a white base with contrasting stripes of blue, burgundy and purple. In particular, in a deep wine shade, echoing the chocolatier's coat, there are textured fabric inserts on the sides, “painted” fragments on the toe of the shoe and a velvet tongue.
On the latter you can see a leather patch with the emblem of the letter “W”, made in the same font as in the film. On the inside, the inscription contains the full name - “Wonka”. The traditional Nike heel logo is now a 3D embroidered cloud and lightning bolt. The finishing touches are a brown outsole and burgundy laces. The packaging also added exclusivity to the shoes - a velvet bag enclosed in a hard box for safe transportation.
To purchase Wonka's sneakers, fans were invited to participate in a drawing, which ended in almost a minute.
