Kate Middleton's favorite tiara: Princess of Wales at a Buckingham Palace
King Charles III gave a state reception for diplomats from various countries.
Kate Middleton has reappeared in a tiara, for the second time in the last month. The 41-year-old Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William, King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Buckingham Palace for a diplomatic reception. For the occasion, all four of them were photographed in the palace's Room 1844. Hundreds of members of the diplomatic corps based in the UK gathered for the annual event.
Kate was spotted wearing a very special headpiece at the event - Queen Mary's Lover's Knot tiara. It seems to be a favorite for Middleton, since 2015, Prince William's wife has appeared in it 12 times, more than any other tiara. This precious headpiece was also a favorite for Kate's late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who wore it many times. The tiara is over 100 years old and was originally received by Queen Mary from the Garrard jewelry company in 1913 or 1914. It is a replica of a tiara owned by Mary's grandmother, Princess Augusta of Hesse-Kassel, Duchess of Cambridge.
The last time Kate wore the Lover's Knot tiara was in June for the wedding of Jordan's Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Raya. At the diplomatic reception held at Buckingham Palace, Middleton reproduced the entire outfit she wore at the summer ceremony, a pink dress from British brand Jenny Packham and the aforementioned tiara. And earlier, in November, Kate met at Buckingham Palace for a state reception of the President of South Korea with her spouse wearing a tiara of Strathmore roses, which belonged to Queen Mother Elizabeth, the grandmother of Charles III.
