Angelina Jolie has spoken out about the aftermath of her divorce

Angelina Jolie is ready to leave Hollywood, but claims she is still reeling from the breakup of her relationship with Brad Pitt. "It's part of what happened after the divorce... I lost the ability to live freely and travel like I used to," the actress told the Wall Street Journal. She said she would like to live not in Los Angeles, where she now spends most of her time with her children, but in Cambodia, where she has a home and where her eldest adopted son Maddox is from. Angelina calls Hollywood a "petty," "unhappy" and "unhealthy place."

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016. Although they were legally divorced in 2019, their legal battle is still ongoing. In addition to the battle over their three shared minor children, they are arguing over the French estate Château Miraval in Provence, which they purchased in 2008. Shortly before filing for divorce, Jolie reportedly experienced Bell's Palsy, which left part of her face immobile. After proper treatment, her condition improved.
