Panton Institute unveils its color of 2024
Every year in December the world learns about the shade that will “reign” in design.
Pantone has revealed next year's color. This is Peach Fuzz, which can be translated as “peach fuzz”, designed to embody “our desire to take care of ourselves and others.” According to the Color Institute, the shade is a "velvety, delicate peach hue whose all-encompassing spirit enriches the mind, body and soul."
"In search of a hue that resonated with our innate desire for intimacy and togetherness, we chose a color that exudes warmth and contemporary elegance. A hue that evokes empathy, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly connects youth with timelessness," the statement reads. in a statement by Leatrice Eisman, executive director of the Color Institute.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the color of the year on social media, Pantone added that the new shade is “subtly sensual” and “heartfelt,” with the intention of “bringing a sense of tenderness and conveying a message of caring and inclusion, community and collaboration.”
